Erik Lerner AIA | LEED AP | Real Estate Broker
Erik Lerner's ideas about property, home and environment were honed over twenty years practicing architecture in Los Angeles. The knowledge and insight gained in that work informs Erik's service to buyers and sellers of real estate. The value of a property resides in its location, configuration, orientation, structure, condition, and not least of all in its utility and its comfort. Erik draws on his professional training and marketplace experience to match a discerning clientele with distinguished properties.
Licensed in California as a Real Estate Broker as well as an architect. Erik Lerner’s brokerage work has encompassed historical properties by architecture icons Frank Lloyd Wright, Rudolf Schindler and Bruce Goff, as well as notable works by a variety of architects past and present, from traditionalist Wallace Neff and modernists Paul Laszlo and Thornton Abell, to contemporaries Frederick Fisher and Moore Ruble Yudell and sustainable practitioner Warren W. Wagner.
Erik has explored the relationship between home design and value in seminars offered through UCLA Extension, the American Institute of Architects, the Society of Architectural Historians and Hanley-Wood Publications, and in print in LA Architect, the Los Angeles Times, Architecture California, Progressive Architecture, Architect, Architecture, and Residential Architect Magazines, and in a series of Better Homes and Gardens articles. He was profiled by online real estate resource Inman.com and was a presenter at the Reinvention09 residential architects’ conference.
He is a FEMA-trained Safety Assessment Volunteer for the California Office of Emergency Services and is a participating member of the Westside Urban Forum, the Congress of Residential Architects, and the Urban Land Institute. He has served on the boards of Beyond Shelter and Temple Emanuel Beverly Hills, on the Cabinet of the United Jewish Fund Real Estate Division and on the Steering Committee of CANstruction benefiting the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.
